Scenes from the April, 05 Trip,
the Peregrine Falcon Tour
April 27, 2005
What an exquisite day it was!
Tina, a freelance writer, joined us for a perfect spring day
in the Red Hills to experience nature at its best.
And then, to our amazement
was a Peregrine falcon sitting
on a fence post!  This is an
amazing sighting of a migrating
Peregrine!
Watching prairie dogs
was a treat.
This roadrunner surprised and
delighted us along with a
continuous bouquet of
wildflowers like this Scarlet
Globe Mallow.
Ending the trip at Margaret's
Junke Shoppe is always a treat.

We found an interesting white
Hymenoxis flower among the
regular ones.

We stop at the first hill to appreciate the wide
variety of prairie wildflowers in full bloom--lots
of citron paintbrush and Lambert's locoweed.
Wildflowers and a
huge, female
bullsnake really
impressed us!
And finding 100 million year old
fossils was fun on Fossil Cut.
